He’s a frequent speaker for churches, groups, and non-profit organizations. He consults with churches, leadership groups, and ministers as they navigate difficult transitions. He’s the bestselling author of Before You Go: A Few Sneaky-Good Questions Every Minister Must Answer Before Moving to a New Church. He also coaches other speakers who want to improve the quality of their presentations.

He was born and raised in Texas. He attended Abilene Christian University where he earned degrees in Communication (B.A) and Christian Education (M.S.) and played lots of pick-up basketball. He’s worked with churches in Bellingham, Washingtion; Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Austin Texas.

He lives in Austin, Tx with his wife and two boys.
